They may not be the most interesting of things to know, nor maybe not even of that much interest to all that many people, but for me, I like learning about these little tidbits of this type of information. LOL

So Thank You again, EarthSky, and also to you, Bruce. :-)

Alcor is a binary system, while Mizar is the ring leader of quadruple system. […]

I could just get them all in view with a 10mm (100x) but only the bright 3 and 1 fainter one just about in the edge of view when at 200x.
P.s don’t try this with a long refractor if you are as tall as me, it hurts your back!

I’m out with telescope now trying to see this six star system, I have it pointed roughly in that region but there are quite a few stars in that area using a 25mm (40x) eyepiece to try and get it in view first. how much magnification would I need to see all six stars?
Going to find star chart now as its hard to tell what is what with so many stars in view.

I want to see m51 which is located not to far away from that too although I’m not sure how well that will show with my scope.
Was it Castor there was a article about here weeks ago which is also six stars? I’ve not tried to split that yet either.

==================
I looked up in the sky one evening,
Some sleepy stars were starting to shine,
The sunset clouds were just about leaving,
And Orion’s Belt was falling in line.
