Tracing the Celestial Symphony: A Journey of Star Trails Across the Dark Night Sky

In the pitch-black darkness of the night sky, as the Earth spins like a spinning top, distant beams of starlight travel unimaginable distances, weaving trails as they traverse the vast expanse of space. And it is the marking of these trails on Earth's canvas by the pencil of starlight that we call star trails. Driven by the imperative of life's navigation, I journeyed from the eastern horizon of Sikkim to the snowy peaks of the western Himalayas in Himachal Pradesh, braving the tumult, while acknowledging the impossibility of bringing all the paraphernalia of astrophotography amidst the upheaval caused by relocation.

Yet, tempted by the clear, pristine skies dotted with stars, I ascended to the rooftop, securing makeshift tools like ropes and iron bars protruding from the concrete structure to serve as a tripod. Utilizing the intervalometer feature on my mobile phone, I commenced capturing images from dusk till dawn.

Subsequently, amidst the tranquillity of the night, I engaged in the meticulous process of post-processing, unveiling the narrative of the celestial journey that unfolded through the kaleidoscope of colours in the night sky—the tale of star trails.
